Staying in the penthouse room with free access to a private lounge and a deck offering a beautiful view of the town at the far end was a lovely experience. The room got a bit warm, but opening the window solved the issue easily. The staff at the reception desk were professional, helpful, and friendly, providing services typical to Swiss standards. The location was fantastic, being near interesting city locations and just a 10-minute walk over a stunning bridge to the gorgeous city of Bern. I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms had a view of the bridge and town, and distantly, the alps, but the location of my room facing the back building offered no view at all. The room itself looked modern and was a decent size with a comfy double bed, a kettle, a hairdryer, and a spacious bathroom. The service was a bit disruptive with knocks on my door starting early in the morning, yet they were fantastic overall in terms of cleanliness and accommodating our needs. The location was superb, close to transportation stations and offering easy access to the Old Town. The dining experience was excellent, especially enjoying the terrace outside. However, the stress levels at times were high. Overall, a good value for the price paid.
